Hi! I'm Lori Robinson and I’ve been offering comprehensive and affordable private piano lessons in Port Coquitlam, then Surrey and now Kamloops since 1983. Piano is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students. From day one, they learn important foundational techniques to help them boost their skills and self-esteem while having fun and gaining confidence. Each of my students has a unique learning style, and it’s my duty to find out what that is and adapt my lessons accordingly.

RCM Exam Readiness
Preparing for the Grade
During my years of investing in my students who would like to pursue the Royal Conservatory classical method, I have helped to prepare them for the best possible outcome given their skill level. I will prepare students up to a Grade 8 exam level, offering extra lessons, practice exams as well as the co-requisite theory (in group or private setting). Longer lesson times are often required, and I will be happy to accommodate what is needed.
It's not easy to find a fun, inspirational piano teacher, specially for kids. Lori taught my two daughters for years, and my one daughter even became a music teacher because of her patient, encouraging approach.

A Bit About Me
Piano and Teaching - a couple of my favourite things!
When I was a young child, my mom couldn't drag me away from a piano. If there were keys to play, I wanted to have my fingers on them. Growing up, I accompanied every school choir, played in every section of the band (even percussion...boy, was THAT fun!!) and realized that this was my passion. I started accompanying the band at church and ended up recording a couple of CDs!!
It's been such an amazing adventure.
I started teaching piano after I had completed my grade 10 Royal Conservatory Exam at the age of 16, and I have been blessed to be able to continue it throughout my lifetime. It truly is my life's pleasure to be able to share my love for the piano, and music in general with my students while having fun learning.
I now live in Kamloops with my Prince Charming, Steve, our puppy, Stella and 2 kitties, Corona & Guinness, while our 5 kids live in Langley, Vancouver, Quesnel, Edmonton, and New Zealand!!
